Puppy foundation
Our Puppy Training Program is designed to give your puppy the best possible start in life by building confidence, good manners, and a strong foundation for future training. Early training focuses on teaching essential skills such as name recognition, sit, down, come, leash introduction, crate training, potty training, socialization, and proper interaction with people and other dogs.
We also work on preventing common puppy behaviors like jumping, nipping, chewing, and excessive barking through positive reinforcement and clear communication. By establishing good habits early, we help create a well-behaved, confident, and happy companion that is set up for long-term success both at home and in public.
Basic-Advanced obedience
Our obedience training programs are designed to build a strong foundation of trust, communication, and reliability between you and your dog. Whether you're starting with a new puppy or refining the skills of an older dog, we customize each program to meet your dog's individual needs.
Training progresses from basic commands such as sit, down, stay, come, place, leash manners, and polite greetings, to advanced off-leash reliability with real-world distractions. Behavior modification and socialization
Our Behavior Modification Program is designed for dogs struggling with unwanted or challenging behaviors that affect their quality of life and their relationship with their owners. Using positive, science-based training methods, we create customized training plans to address issues such as reactivity, fear, anxiety, aggression, resource guarding, excessive barking, leash pulling, separation-related behaviors, and poor impulse control.
Every dog is different, so we focus on identifying the root cause of the behavior rather than simply managing the symptoms. Our goal is to build your dog's confidence, improve communication, and teach healthier behaviors that lead to lasting results. Our Specialty Training Program is designed for dogs working toward advanced roles, including therapy dogs, service dogs, and other specialized tasks. We have lots of therapy dogs currently working in local nursing homes, Norfolk/Vb Sentra, VB oncology, Schools around Hampton Roads, and private practices; along with hundreds of service dogs that provide owners task support each day. Every training plan is tailored to the individual dog's temperament, abilities, and intended purpose, ensuring they develop the skills and reliability needed to perform with confidence. Training may include advanced obedience, public access manners, task-specific training, distraction-proof behaviors, confidence building, and real-world exposure in a variety of environments. Whether your goal is to prepare your dog for therapy work, train specific service tasks, or develop advanced skills, we use positive reinforcement methods to create dependable, well-mannered dogs that are ready to succeed in any setting.

I had the best experience ever!!! Oh my goodness i don’t even then ‘thank you’ are the right words to express my gratitude! My Nala girl has overcome so much of her nerves and fears! She is so much calmer now and gets to go on so many more adventures now that she behaves and listens to much more! We get to experience wonderful peaceful walks and go into stores together! And one of the best things is she can relax in the front yard now without running away! I highly recommend!!!

Chelsea was absolutely incredible; I would recommend her 1,000% to anyone, any day! We sent our nine-month-old Golden/Aussie/Poodle to her for a week-long board-and-train, and the results were life-changing.She is a wealth of knowledge and a total miracle worker who tailors her training to each dog's specific needs. She kept us updated daily with messages, photos, and videos, which we truly appreciated. Our dog, Conway, struggled with anxiety, jumping, and mouthy behavior for attention, but now those worries are gone. It’s such a relief to know we can take him anywhere or host guests without stress. We can even take him hiking and camping off-leash, knowing he’ll stay right by our side. We can't thank her enough!

While I have had many dogs before, I am a first time German Shepherd owner. I did not know what I was in for, but Chelsea helped me and River become best friends. He was only 8 months old when we started working with our trainer, but he is so much better around the house and on our walks. I plan to continue with Unleashed Dog Training to ensure that River and I stay trained up.

Chelsea has helped me so much training my dogs. My Dalmatian was so full of energy and with some training tips, Chelsea helped me communicate with her and turned her into a good well behaved girl. With my Dane rescue, we are working on giving her confidence and to react less to other dogs.
